WhatsApp Business Account (WABA)
WABA requirements: verification, display name, quality rating, and messaging tiers.
WhatsApp Business Account (WABA)
A WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) is the Meta object that holds your WhatsApp phone numbers, message templates, and messaging settings. Callduck connects to one WABA per workspace and uses it to send messages and sync templates.
Business verification
Business verification is Meta's process. It confirms your business is legitimate and is required to raise messaging limits and to operate at full scale. Submit it in Business Settings → Security Center. Callduck cannot verify a business on your behalf.
Display name rules
Each number has a display name shown to customers. Meta reviews it against its display-name guidelines — it should match your real brand, avoid all-caps or generic words, and not be misleading. Name changes are reviewed by Meta.
Quality rating
Meta assigns each number a quality rating (Green / Yellow / Red) based on how recipients react — blocks and "report" actions lower it. A poor rating can reduce your messaging limit. Keep it healthy by messaging only opted-in contacts with relevant, expected content. See Marketing broadcast compliance.
Messaging limits and tiers
Business-initiated conversations are capped per rolling 24 hours and increase as you send quality traffic to verified numbers:
- 250 unique customers / 24h
- 1,000
- 10,000
- 100,000
- Unlimited
> Tier increases are granted by Meta automatically based on volume and quality — Callduck does not set or raise your limit.
One WABA, multiple numbers
A single WABA can hold multiple phone numbers (e.g. one per brand or region). In Callduck, add a separate channel per number; each carries its own Phone Number ID. See Phone Number ID.
