Onboarding
Phone Number ID, WABA ID & Business Account ID
Tell the three Meta identifiers apart and map them to Callduck's setup fields.
Phone Number ID, WABA ID & Business Account ID
Meta uses three different identifiers during onboarding. Mixing them up is the most common setup mistake, so here is exactly what each one is and where Callduck uses it.
The three IDs
- Business Account ID (Business Portfolio ID) — your top-level Meta Business Portfolio. Used for billing and ownership; you rarely paste it into Callduck.
- WhatsApp Business Account ID (WABA ID) — the account that holds your numbers and templates. Callduck uses it to sync message templates.
- Phone Number ID — the ID of a specific WhatsApp number (this is not the phone number itself). Callduck uses it to send messages.
Where to find each
- Business Account ID — Business Settings → Business Info.
- WABA ID — Business Settings → Accounts → WhatsApp Accounts, or in the app's WhatsApp → API Setup panel.
- Phone Number ID — WhatsApp → API Setup, listed under the selected display number (copy the long numeric Phone number ID, not the human phone number).
How Callduck uses them
| Field | Used for | | --- | --- |
- Phone Number ID → sending messages and template sends
- WABA ID → fetching and syncing template approval status
- Access token → authenticating every API call
- Verify token → the webhook verification handshake
Map to Callduck
Open Channels → WhatsApp and fill in the setup fields:
- WhatsApp Business Account ID → your WABA ID
- Phone Number ID → the number's Phone Number ID
- Access token → your permanent System User token
- Verify token → a secret you choose (see Verify token)
> Tip: the human-readable phone number (e.g. +966 50 …) is for display only. The value Meta's API needs is the numeric Phone Number ID.
