Marketing broadcast compliance

Rules for marketing broadcasts and how Callduck enforces compliant sending.

Marketing broadcast compliance

Marketing broadcasts carry the most risk to your number's quality rating. Callduck is designed for compliance-ready messaging operations and guards the send path so a careless broadcast can't slip through.

The rules

  1. Opted-in only — never broadcast to a contact who has not opted in. See Opt-in collection.
  2. Approved templates — marketing broadcasts must use a Meta-approved marketing template. See Message template approval.
  3. Frequency & quality — don't over-message. Blocks and "report spam" actions lower your quality rating and can cut your messaging limit.
  4. Clear opt-out — every marketing message needs an opt-out path (e.g. "Reply STOP to unsubscribe").

How Callduck enforces it

  • Skips non-opted-in contacts — recipients without OPTED_IN status are excluded from the send, and you're warned before sending.
  • Requires an approved template — marketing campaigns can only go out on a template Meta has approved.
  • Consent confirmation — Callduck surfaces opt-in counts so you confirm who you're really reaching.
  • Audit trail — who created and who approved each campaign is logged.
  • Opt-out honored — anyone who has opted out is suppressed automatically. See Opt-out handling.

> Callduck reduces the risk of a non-compliant send, but the content, cadence, and consent are your responsibility under the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy and local law.
